I want to welcome you all to our Memorial School family!!

Some important facts for you to know:

School door opens at 8:30 for breakfast and 8:35 for all other students.  The late bell rings at 8:50 AM and your child will be marked tardy after the bell rings.

 CLARK MEMORIAL DAY CARE

We are very excited to announce that the Clark Memorial YMCA will be offering a before and after-school program for our students here at Memorial School. Through this collaboration we hope to provide quality licensed after school child care to the children in the town of Winchendon.  The program will provide a variety of activities to be enjoyed by the children in the program. This program will begin at 6:30 am until the start of school at 8:50 and in the afternoon from the end of school until 6:00 pm.  Space is limited and if you would like more information about enrolling your child contact Mike Quinn at the Clark Memorial YMCA. 978-297-9622.

DISMISSAL

If your child is suppose to ride the bus we will have them do so unless we have a dated signed note by you saying they will be picked up and by whom.  We cannot change your child’s normal dismissal procedure on a phone call.  We will not release your child to anyone except those on the emergency sheet.

Walking

  • Walkers will be escorted by staff to the intersection of Harvard Street and Elmwood Road.
  • We are requesting that you use the parent pick-up line only and avoid picking your children up at different places along the walker's route.  This will avoid confusion and congestion and allows us to keep your children safe.  Thank you.
  • Please review with your child proper behavior and safety guidelines when walking home.

Riding the Bus

  • Students need to follow safety guidelines and proper behavior on the bus.  Riding the bus is a privilege.
  • Kindergarten students need to have an adult present at the bus stop.  If an adult is not present at the bus stop the bus driver cannot release the child.  The child will be returned to Memorial School.
