Introduction

Imagine you are an astronaut traveling through our solar system in a spaceship! 

You will pass the nine planets in our solar system on your way to the outer regions of the universe.

 While you are zooming through the solar system you will identify the nine planets and learn facts about these planets. Next, you will label an astronaut’s diagram of the planets. Then, you will write about the planet you would most like to stop and visit if you could. 

Last, get ready to take the Awesome Astronaut Quiz to see if you are an Awesome Astronaut!

 

 



The Task

You will use your prior knowledge and several sources to:

·          learn the names of the planets and two facts about each of the nine planets in our solar system

·          

·         label a diagram of the planets in our solar system

·          

·         write about the planet you would most like to visit on your journey through our solar system

 

·         take the Awesome Astronaut Quiz and see if you are an Awesome Astronaut!

§         Read the information at the bottom of the sheet

     Next:

§         Use your information to complete the solar system diagram

       Then:

§         Use a Links Template to write about the planet you would most like to visit.

§         Why would you like to visit that planet?
