MRS. ATTER, GUIDANCE COUNSELOR The Memorial School Guidance Counselor services student needs through small group or individual sessions. The guidance counselor is an important link between parents, students and the school. If your child is having a problem that may affect their school progress, please contact the guidance counselor at 297-1305 extension # 317, so that she may be of assistance with support and communication. It is hard to believe how quickly the summer has gone by, hopefully everyone was able to relax and spend some quality time with family and friends. I am looking forward to seeing everyone working hard and doing the best they can to have a successful school year. I encourage parents to continue to be involved in their child's education by working with them at home, and getting involved with activities in school. Talk to your children about their day in school, and be supportive and helpful with any problems or issues that may arise. Memorial school students will have a busy but exciting year ahead of them. Students and teachers will be doing the Second Step Social Skills program in their classrooms, and Mr. O’Connell and I will also be doing a word of the month to help reinforce other important social issues. Please remember we have a wonderful and caring staff at Memorial School, and we are all available if you have any questions or concerns regarding your child. Our goal is to help make you child's school year a positive and memorable one. |
